Please make sure you mark your tack and write down any identifying information, including make, colour, size, broken straps, mends, tears.  Don't forget to make a note of what you have marked your items with and wear. Without this information, the police may not be able to prove a recovered item was originally yours and may have to return it to the thieves!

Rug marking can be done with a black permanent marker, fabric paint, or iron-on lettering for example.  Putting your name, postcode, freeze mark or telephone number are all identifiable ways and this information can also be written on any inside labels.  Leatherwork can be marked using engraving, microchipping, metal punches or leather stamping.  Hitchlocks and wheel clamps can be used to help secure your trailer.   Contact Julie (number above) if you would like further advice or help.
